'1996' brings together some of the most important voices on the current national music scene, inviting them to sing in a register that, in general, is not theirs and on occasions to collaborate with artists of completely different styles. It's named after the year Nirvana released 'From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah', the group's second live album. An album that marked a before and after for the young producer in his way of understanding music.

No es la primera vez que Bejo e InnerCut trabajan juntos, de hecho la idea de crear «Pero Yo No» surge a través de la labor que el productor estaba realizando mezclando y masterizando algunos temas suyos. El tema, al igual que la mayoría de los cortes del próximo largo de InnerCut, empezó con un riff de guitarra, una demo del beat muy diferente a la versión final sobre la que Bejo, escribió la letra y más tarde Inner estructuró el resto de la canción alrededor de la voz.
