Mundo Prestigio was born in 2019 in Vigo as the reconversion of Jay , a noise rock formation made up of Ju , Brais , Fiz and Fer,  members of bands like Disco las Palmeras! , Dois or Seda .  The new musical concerns, based on the sampling technique and with a clear direction towards hip hop , led the four members of the band to make a clean slate and create this new project halfway between a band and a group of producers.  One year later,  

Mundo Prestigio has two EPs (" Mundo Prestigio EP " 2019 and " Los Vengadores  " 2020) produced by Hevi ( Malandrómeda and Fluzo ) in which instrumental passages are combined with collaborations such as those of Cibrán ( Boyanka Kostova ), Nuno (Oh Ayatollah , Grande Amore) and Guillermo Zapata (Bifannah). 

The songs of the band are inspired by soul , funk , and follow in their wake until they reach the so-called " urban music". A scheme previously reproduced by some influential bands for the sound of Mundo Prestigio such as The Avalanches and Badbadnotgood , transferring the musical heritage of the 20th century to a modern context .

Before the pandemic put live music out of the game, Mundo Prestigio occupied the stages of festivals and venues throughout Galicia such as Melona Fest , Festival Noroeste or Sala Capitol , among others. 

Looking ahead to 2021 Mundo Prestigio has already recorded a new EP, which will soon be released on digital platforms. And, in addition, they are currently in the composition and preparation phase of a second work, which will be released this year.
